At Westcontrol, this definition serves as a guiding principle. Over the past few years, sustainability has shifted from being seen as optional to becoming essential. This change is driven by evolving EU regulations and global initiatives.

Our actions
- We collaborate with NAV (Norwegian Labour and Welfare Administration) to help people who have fallen out of the job market and give them a new chance.
- We work with local educational institutions and have goals for hiring apprentices.
- We screen our suppliers and, by doing so, ensure that our values are upheld throughout our value chain.
- We report on conflict minerals to ensure full transparency in our upstream value chain.
Our environmental efforts
Caring for the environment is a key part of how we work at Westcontrol. We actively look for ways to reduce waste, use energy efficiently, and adopt more sustainable practices in our daily operations.

Double materiality assessment & CSRD
To support our sustainability efforts, we are preparing to comply with CSRD reporting requirements for FY2025. As part of this, we have conducted a double materiality analysis to identify all potential and actual risks related to environmental, social, and governance (ESG) issues—both within our own operations and throughout our value chain.
By laying this groundwork for reporting, we gain valuable insights into how our activities impact people and the environment, as well as how environmental changes impact us. This understanding helps us create better plans for the future while maintaining a mindset of continuous improvement.
