We are extremely happy and proud of the title Company of the Year.
This is a team win, not only between our employees, but also together with our customers, investors, our municipality and bank. Without you, we would not have had the opportunity to deliver the results we have had in recent years, nor would we have had the capital to expand our premises and our production park.
Alone we are nothing, but together we are strong. We are incredibly grateful, and this gives us even greater motivation to continue our journey.
Words from the jury:
The financial development of Westcontrol has been adventurous. The company has gone from a turnover of two million kroner in 1994 to 1.4 billion kroner in 2023, growth looks set to increase further. The factory at Tau has already been expanded several times, and now 3,500 new square meters are ready for use. This means a usable area of 15,000 square metres, but there is still a lot of free space on the site.
The production is high-tech, and the processes must be fully automated for the company to be globally competitive. And there is really something un-Norwegian about what has happened at Tau. What Westcontrol delivers normally takes place on completely different continents.
Products must be delivered to an enormously demanding and discerning market, and Westcontrol is dependent on acquiring the necessary expertise. They are very successful in this, and the free ferry connection to Stavanger makes it easier. A total of 440 people work in the company.
